Prof. R N Srivastava is working as Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery and Head Spinal Surgery Unit, King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. Earlier he has held prestigious administrative positions like Head, Dept. of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Founder Member of Institutional Ethics Committee, Faculty In-charge MCI Cell and Co-Faculty In-charge Research Cell, KGMU, Lucknow. Currently he is Faculty In-charge UGC Cell, KGMU, Lucknow, Coordinator of AT-COM module, Provost Resident Hostel, Faculty Incharge of PhD’s and Research activities of the department and Hony Member of Stem Cell Committee at Era’s Medical College, Lucknow.
He has been an Expert in various national and international bodies of eminence like an Expert in selection committee for appointment of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professors in 6 newly formed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Institute of Medical Science (IMS), BHU, Varanasi and Institute of Medical Science and Research, SAIFAI, Etawah, U.P. He is recipient of extramural funding for research activities from several national and international funding agencies like ICMR, DBT, CST-UP, AO-India and Indo-American Spine Alliance (IASA).
He has also the Member Expert in PRC (Project review committees) of ICMR and “Expert in Task force for Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis”of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi.
Prof. RN Srivastava has been very active in teaching, training and Research activities of KGMU and has many publicationsat national and international levels with an H index of 12, I-10 index 13. He has published 48 research articles having 396 citations in the last five years. He has been Reviewer of research articles in several high impact international journals to name afew, Spinal Cord, Spine, BMJ and Osteoarthritis and cartilage.
Prof Srivastava has extensively travelled abroad to present, and speak at annual meetings of ASIA, AAOS, OTA, NASS, SRS, SIS and OARSI in USA, AOA at Australia, ISCoS, EULAR and EFORT at UK, OARSI at Belgium, COA in Canada and SOA at Singapore. He is recipient of many awards at national and international levels, a recipient of Three Travelling Fellowships abroad.
